Acne

Acne is one of today's most significant skin concerns for both teens and adults. While many people associate acne with just teen years it may persist well into adult live. In fact, acne affects approximately 50% of women between 20-29 years old and 25% of women 40-49 years old. There is currently no single known cause for acne however a number of factors may be present during the course of the disease, such as heredity, hormones, increased oil production, bacteria and retention hyperkeratosis – an abnormal build up and retention of cells in the follicles of individuals who are acne prone.
